uninteresting town day [Aug. 31st, 1996|04:44 pm]
Went over 2 Robs, we watched the REM video at Chris's though he wanted to watch Ice TV.

We also went to town, but Rob just wanted to go back and play the guitar. Doesn't he want to get out? And when we did get back he couldn't be stuffed recording anything. All he wants to do is either play guitar or talk about how cool it is in the army. I don't care! The army is stupid, as far as I'm concerned.

Talked to Chrissy for a short while, David is going out with Erin again. Boy, she is muffed in the head. Chrissy said she'll ring soon, especially if she is invited to any of Anusha (she who has 'nice' friends....) to see if I can come, or Rob too. I'm sick of being bored every night, especially weekends. Even at Robs it can get boring, as he takes so long to do everything, bathroom especially. He doesn't want to go out and do stuff anymore, and he says Chris is antisocial.

UNIMPORTANT FACTS:

1.From January the 1st till May 7, I saw (as in talked to in person) Erin on 24 days. 8 before going out, 16 after. Since then 2 days. About 4 times before then. Total = 30.

2. I haven't had a haircut since May 18.

heard a cool OCS song, 'You've got it bad'! Its awesome!!!

Reyna day [Aug. 29th, 1996|04:32 pm]
Went to the rave, there were so many nice as babes there!!! Rob + I were watching one's legs, then she began to bend over - then she turned around and Rob recognised her as Reyna, from Peachgrove! I don't remember her being such a babe! In some ways she looks a bit like Patti Boyd (in some photos). We talked a little bit.

I saw Shelley, and two of her friends - one kept calling me Jay, then X-Files Dan.

Speaking of X-Files, one girl (not one of the babes unfortunately) began to ask me about the X-Files - it turns out she is the X-File of her school, but I didn't catch which. her name is Ngaire.

Rob is the man -> A big circle formed during a hip hop song, and Rob was pushed into the middle, and began to dance!!!

Overall it was pretty good, despite the strobe breaking after 1/2 an hour.

I did the awesomest throw in Physics. Mr Smith asked for my pen, so I threw it at him - he ducked, it went inside the blackboard! It was the impossible throw!!!

Stayed at Robs.

INDEPENDENCE DAY DAY [Aug. 28th, 1996|04:28 pm]
VERY EXCELLENT MOVIE!!!!

My Favourite of all time.

Rob + I went in at about 4.30, past some hostels who laughed at my glasses but what do I care? They were in their school uniforms and they're gay. Kerry M (who we saw by Centreplace) said they look styly. Rob reckons he's quite cool. Same here.

Anyway, we got good seats and good chewing gum. At one point everyone got a fright, then another one almost immediately. It was so awesome! And quite funny! And we were in the first group to see it in New Zealand!!!

Rob has decided to go to the army for a couple of years. WHY???

I suppose I could just go to Christchurch then Britain. It's the place to go if you want to be in a huge fucking band!!!

Maps day [Aug. 27th, 1996|04:24 pm]
Maths problem has been today's major focus. It is 300 years old, and our class has been avidly trying to solve it. Any map only needs 4 colours. Jay and I have both come terribly close, but never get any cigars.

Got blasted by Mr Smith 2-day.

Hit some idiot in the head with a tennis ball, back handed.

Bothwell solved my example.

10:20pm -> 19 hrs, 10 minutes to INDEPENDENCE DAY ID4

No:1: Wannabe, Spice Girls

Current top 10

shootdown possibly day [Aug. 26th, 1996|04:22 pm]
1/2 day at school, but I still had to go. In maths I stumped Mr Bothwell with an example of a map which appears to shoot down 2 supercomputers.

The M/S catalogue currently numbers 159 songs. Wow. No doubt some of them will be lost or discarded in time.

2 days 2 go till INDEPENDENCE DAY, my fav. movie of all time without even seeing it.

Song discovery day [Aug. 25th, 1996|04:20 pm]
Came home about 12. Jay + Rob came over to watch 'Fire in the Sky' and 'The Meaning of Life'.

I went through the drawer and found 13 more songs I wrote back in December, February and March. Some of them I can't even remember writing.

Story discovery day [Aug. 24th, 1996|04:15 pm]
I was going to go to Jays but I couldn't get hold of him so I went to Robs. I bought us tickets to the first showing of INDEPENDENCE DAY, Wednesday 5.30!!!!! Later on we recorded a new song by Rob called 'With You', it is in 6/4 beat??? Well, it's 4/4 followed by 2/4. It's hardcore and good. We also wrote a song called 'The Purpose of Man' - I wrote the music, we both sing. We have planned it to be the first hippie song of the next millenium. It's awesome. A new recording base track of He's dead has been done, distorted through the amp. It's wicked! Jay even likes it.

Later that night Rob + I went searching for old writings, and eventually we came across "stories" by him, Chris and I wrote in form one or two, were we each suggested bits one after the other. How disgusting they are! every second sentence is about someone's erection. I suppose it shows how disgusting form 1/2's really are.

Stayed the night.

We were cracking up laughing at almost anything.

Dentist day [Aug. 22nd, 1996|04:11 pm]
Just finished watching 'The Meaning Of Life' - very funny + wierd.

Went to the dentist, 11AM. He had about 3 instruments in my mouth at a time. I heard some sounds I didn't think I would until I watched independence day. He even used what looked like a raygun.

(STICKER: 'DENTIST')

Seminar day [Aug. 21st, 1996|04:07 pm]
Went to the dentist today. Have 2 go back 11AM 2morrow, to get some white caps put on. Luckily it is free! To get my teeth straight he said to take out one of back ones and get braces, but that will cost far too much. I wouldn't mind getting it done, but the price and the injection (I've never had one before) are putting me off. $1500 it would cost!

Just did term's h/w of physics, well actually skipping every long or longish or mediumish size problem. Like I give a shit about my Physics grade. It is my 8th subject choice, when I should have chosen Film Studies. D'oh!

Did my classics seminar - about 40, 45 minutes. At the start I was stuttering terribly, but towards the end I was just mispronouncing. It was rather disjointed, but I'm expecting a good mark. I drew some pictures on the board.

I've rearranged my room.

I think 1/2 my hypercard has been deleted!

Denied NBK day [Aug. 20th, 1996|04:06 pm]
I have decided to re-record he's dead, even if we sometime have to go to this guy Nathan's. The current one is really only a practise version, not good enough for the final. Can't wait till Rob gets his computer, hopefully it'll be good.

Tried to get NATURAL BORN KILLERS, R18, but was denied, so instead got Monty Python's Meaning Of Life.

David L is going out with Erin again, I think.... yes. Dunno how long for. What is going on in that girl's head?

I have to do another Current Top 10, I don't want to so often, but if there are new entries, I have to, unfortunately. (or fortunately.)

Bible basxhers day [Aug. 19th, 1996|03:58 pm]
Went on Radio today. Played:

All day and all of the night
Love
Baba O'Riley
I don't sleep I dream
Lump (live)
Day Tripper
Big Bang Baby
Man who sold the world
Does your mother know?

I went 2 town with Rob after school, to return the mag and get some CD's out. Got Velvet Underground and Sonic Youth: Bad Moon rising. I don't see why Spitty raves over V.U, they aren't that good. In what way were they revolutionary? Sonic Youth is so wierd it is unlistenable, except one song which unfortunately jumps.
We were approached by two gooks who said 'Could you spare a minute' - they turned out to be bible-bashers, and one minute soon turned into 30!!! Grrrr. They said it's a fact god exists and all this crap. The woman even offered a baptism if he returned at about 6pm. There are some scary people around.

QUOTE: (A guy carrying 3 boxes of weetbix walked past Rob + I, on the bridge. Just as he passed us: ROB: 'Weetbix.'

It was so funny!

Oh Yeah day [Aug. 18th, 1996|03:51 pm]
Went to Scotts this morning to play on the Megadrive, League game is quite good. The one thing I don't like about Scott is he has no feelings or emotions, that's what it seems like. He never comments, gets excited, or anything.

Went to Chartwell, bought Ash's new single Oh Yeah - Ash are awesome. The other songs are so good, I would happily have put them on the final album had our band recorded them. I have to rewrite the top 10 again, the songs are so good. Heaps of nice girls at Chartwell, why can't I know any of them?

Chrissy rang Aimie and told her I was going out with Stephanie on Saturday, 6pm meet at McD's. She told her it was real, and Aimie rang Rob. I wasn't supposed to know she was 11, but I know. I was only joking when it was organised, Chrissy knew that, but Aimie + Becca think it's real. I told Rob I was joking then rung Chrissy to see if she was, luckily she was. I Dialled 0800PUCK like it said on the Supergroove video, but there is no such number.

TOP 10
1. Does your mother know? ASH (ABBA)
2. If I had my way - S-Groove

Final recording day [Aug. 17th, 1996|03:50 pm]
Went over 2 Simons to record 'He's Dead'. Got an OK result, the synthesizer is quite low however, but that's too bad. Went a bit overtime, though it only took about 3h 20 minutes from when we arrived (me + Rob). I have watched last night's The Critic (Final) 3 times. Why is it the final?
Got a call from Chrissy, she's at Beccas. They tried to tell me a girl called Stephanie was there, but it turned out she was Becca's 11 year old sister. Man, I hate it when that happens. Anyway, I'm supposed to meet her next Saturday at McDonalds, 6pm. Man, some weird things happen.

140 min phone call day [Aug. 16th, 1996|02:50 pm]
Final of the Critic tonight. Ohno! Mothing much else of interest has happened today, apart from the school closing most of the loos. Could be going to Scotts 2morrow, play league on the Megadrive. I just heard the new No Doubt song, in one section they use an R.E.M type guitar. The song is OK. Talked to Chrissy, just now, for nearly 2 1/2 hours. about 140 min, 3rd or 4th longest of all time. We had a long long long debate over whether there is a God, and such related topics. I Don't see why people believe in god.

D'oh edge day [Aug. 14th, 1996|02:28 pm]
Could have won a CD + movie pass today. The one night Mike takes caller 10, I'm caller 9, the usual. I asked Mike whether I could win anyway, he said OK if I could guess the no.1. I had two guesses, I will always live you 4 ever or If I had my way - I got both wrong! It was 'Ode to my car'. Bummer!

Wrote my seminar 4 the Colour Purple at 9-10.30 pm.
